Hi all, welcome to Day Four of MFT’s January Release Countdown! Four more days until the release so make a note. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog today for all the details. Today we’re previewing SY Kissing Booth Stamp Set, SY Kissing Booth Die-namics, Sweetie Pie Stamp Set, Sweetie Pie Die-namics, Sweet as Pie Die-namics, and Love Is in the Air Stencil.



OMGosh, I had so much fun with this card!! To begin, I cut Sweet Tooth card stock with Stitched Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and dry embossed with Love Is in the Air Stencil. I added a border cut with Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 Die-namics and popped it up on foam on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with Tiny Check Paper Pack at the bottom.

Next I cut Sweetie Pie Die-namics from Kraft card stock and layered Sweet As Pie Die-namics, cut from Cornflower card stock on it, adhered with spray adhesive, and added it to the card front with foam tape. The pie, also from Sweet As Pie Die-namics was cut from No Line Coloring card stock, colored with Copic markers, assembled, and popped up on foam as well. To get the spatter ware look, I spattered it with white craft paint before assembly. The only thing left to do was to add the heart “steam” and I was done!

Countdown Kickoff—Just Five Days Until MFT’s January Release!

Hello and welcome to the first day of MFT’s January Release Countdown! We’re starting off the year with lots of fun products for you so let’s get to it. Today we’re previewing BB Let's Stick Together Stamp Set, BB Let's Stick Together Die-namics, Smitten with You Stamp Set, Impressive String of Hearts Die-namics, Pizza My Heart Stamp Set, and Pizza Maker Die-namics. Release is in five days, on January 7th so mark your calendars.



Birdie Brown’s done it again with this adorable set! I love the cactus and their little pots. So to start I spread molding paste through English Brick Wall Stencil on Sweet Tooth card stock and after it dried I replaced the stencil and sponged on some Wild Honey Distress Ink and for the “concrete” I sponged Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Next I stamped the images with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment strips and popped up on foam. To finish off the images were adhered in place on the card front with foam tape for dimension.

Happy Birthday - My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #470

 

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Tropical Teal, Persimmon, Lemon Drop, and Limelight. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I saw the two horizontal elements as a good place to put some die cut words, so I started looking through my Die-namics and hit upon Block Happy Birthday Die-namics. Bingo!! To start my card, I adhered patterned paper from Over the Rainbow Paper Pad onto a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I dry embossed Star Celebration Stencil on more Sweet Tooth card stock and popped it up on the base with foam tape.

Next I cut the letters out using the colors of the patterned paper, adhered them to fun foam die cuts, and then to the card front. I finished off with some stars, cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 cut from Silver Sparkle card stock, a couple popped up on foam.

Warmest Wishes–Color Throwdown Challenge #574

Hello and welcome to the first Color Throwdown Challenge of 2020!! Happy New Year to everyone—hope to see you all playing along this week! This week our hostess is Amy Rohl and she has a classic color combo based on her lovely wintry inspiration piece.



I decided to go with the inspiration piece and create a snowy outdoor scene as well. I started with a Grout Gray card stock panel, added Birch Trees Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and adhered, a couple popped up on foam for dimension. Then I added Snow Drifts Die-namics cut from more Sweet Tooth card stock with the sentiment, from Snow Globe Greetings stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink.

Next I stamped the cardinal from Reindeer Games stamp set, cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored it with Copic markers. Next I stamped the tree limb from BB Squirrel! stamp set, masking off the leaves, fussy cut it out, and colored it with Copic markers too. To finish off I only had to adhere the limb with foam and then the cardinal, also with foam, and it was done!
