MFT March Release Kickoff!!! Five Days Until the New Release!!

Hi everyone! I’m
here for the first day of MFT’s March Release Countdown! Release is on March 10th at 10am Eastern so mark your calendars right now! Today we’re previewing BB Unicorns and Glitter Stamp Set, BB Unicorns and Glitter Die-namics, Pumped-Up Alphabet Stamp Set, Pumped-Up Numbers Stamp Set, Foiled Frames - Rectangle Die-namics (Hot Foil), Hand-Lettered Happy Birthday Die-namics (Free with $60). Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details!

How adorable are these images???? I fell in love the minute I laid eyes on them! To begin my card, I did a watercolor background and set it aside to dry. I stamped the images on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers. Next I cut some Stitched Cloud Edges from Sweet Tooth card stock and arranged everything until I was happy.

Then I stamped the stars and the sentiment and assembled the card front. The watercolor panel was adhered to the card base with foam tape, as were the cloud edges and all of the colored images. I am so pleased with the way this turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you back tomorrow for Day Four of MFT’s March Release Countdown!

Hello–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #479

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

It took me a little while to come up with an idea for this one—I have to go out of the box every chance I get, you know ;-) So I looked through stamp sets and dies to see if something clicked and eventually I decided on different sized fish for the elements. I’m using BB Friends with Fins, BB Gill Friends, and Fish You Were Here Stamp Sets and Die-namics for them and created an underwater scene. First I did my background using Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, and Salty Ocean Distress Inks along with Sunrise Radiating Rays on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. I splattered it with some clean water, heat embossed the sentiment, and stamped the little fishes with Extreme Black hybrid ink.

Once the background was done, I adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. The images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring Card Stock, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam for dimension to finish it off.

And there you have it! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the
MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Heck Yes! It’s Your Birthday!–Color Throwdown Challenge #583

Hi there and welcome to a brand new
Color Throwdown Challenge! Today Miss Broni is our hostess and she has chosen some SUPER sweet colors based on her adorable inspiration piece. Come join us this week, won’t you?

I decided to go really CAS with this card to highlight these gorgeous colors so I chose to use Big Balloons Stencils and MFT dye inks in Blu Raspberry, Orange Zest, and Cotton Candy for the colors. Once that was done, I hand drew the strings using a black Copic multiline pen, added highlights with a white gel pen, and stamped the sentiment, from Anything-but-Basic Birthday Greetings with Extreme Black hybrid ink.

Before adhering that panel with foam tape, I added a strip of Sweet Celebration Paper Pack on one side of a Sweet Tooth card stock base and when that was all done I finished off with some enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD583 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd583 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
