Autumn Blessings–Color Throwdown Challenge #610

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown!! Wanda is our hostess this week and her gorgeous colors are speaking to my Fall-loving heart!




I really love the recently released Lots of Leaves Cover-Up Die-namics and love coloring it up! For today’s card I used Copic markers on No Line Coloring card stock and love the color intensity I was able to achieve.

Once the leaves were colored, I stamped the sentiment, from Autumn Blessing Stamp Set in the center of a Primitive Cream card stock card base with Milk Chocolate hybrid ink and popped the colored Lots of Leaves Cover-Up Die-namics up on foam tape.

You Make the Holidays Even More Special–September MFT & Friends Feature

I am so stinkin’ excited about Out of the Box Die-namics and the extras, Out of the Box Snow Drifts and Out of the Box Grass Die-namics!!! I love making these adorable boxes but until now they took lots of measuring and trial and error. With Out of the Box Die-namics, all of that is done for you and the sky is the limit as far as how you decorate it! I’ll be using this lots in the future, that’s for SURE!

For this card, I used Micro Cloud Edges Stencil for the back ground and SY Christmas Cheer for the images, and Out of the Box Snow Drifts for the shelves.

To attach the images to the shelves, I used strips of acetate card stock—you can barely see it holding the bird up in the air! The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, then added to the shelves.

Hey there and welcome to the last day of MFT’s September Release Countdown! Tomorrow is the big day—release is at 10am Eastern so set your clocks! Don’t you just love Buffalo Plaid Background??? Just think of all the ways you will be able to use it!! I can’t wait! And what about this adorable Loads of Joy Stamp Set and Die-namics? I immediately thought about pairing these two ‘cause I could absolutely see all these hard-working critters wearing a buffalo plaid jacket, LOL! They just go together!

So, to begin, I stamped the background with Black Licorice dye ink on Red Hot card stock. It took a few passed with my MISTI but that’s what it’s for, right? Then I cut a circle out using Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX, popped it up on foam on a Sweet Tooth card stock base, and went from there.

The images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up in a scene with foam tape. I finished off by heat embossing the sentiment on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics, also popped up on foam.

Are You Ready??? Two Days Until MFT’s September Release!

Hey there! Welcome to Day Two of MFT’s September Release Countdown! Release is on September 8th at 10am Eastern so make a note. And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing Wonderful Friend Stamp Set, Wonderful Friends Die-namics, Friends Forever and Ever Stamp Set, Friends Forever and Ever Die-namics, Peace, Love, & Paws Stamp Set, and Peace, Love, & Paws Die-namics.

For this card I started by creating a snowy background by spreading molding paste through Snowfall – Horizontal Stencil on a Cement Gray card base. While that was drying, I stamped the images from Peace, Love, & Paws Stamp Set and the trees from Christmas Cardinals Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

Next I added Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with the sentiment stamped on the front layer. The colored images were arranged and adhered with foam tape for dimension and it was done!

Halfway to the Big Day–Three Days Until MFT’s September Release!

Today we’re previewing SY Christmas Cheer Stamp Set, SY Christmas Cheer Die-namics, Joyous Holidays Stamp Set, Joyous Holidays Die-namics, Stacked Merry Die-namics (Free with $60), and Micro Cloud Edges Stencil.



Oh, I just love Stacked Merry Die-namics so I *had* to use them in some way for today’s card. To begin, I sponged the background, using Broken China and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and popped it up on a Wild Cheery card stock base. Then I cut Stacked Merry Die-namics from Silver Sparkle card stock and twice from white scrape card stock and adhered them together with spray adhesive. It was adhered to the card front also with spray adhesive after adding part of a sentiment from SY Christmas Cheer, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock.

Next I stamped the images from Joyous Holidays Stamp Set, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up on the card front with foam tape.
