You Sleigh Me - Color Throwdown Challenge #619

Hey there, it's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge!! This week Vickie is our hostess and she's got some festive colors for us to play with,

I'm using the just-released PI You Sleigh Me Stamp Set and Die-namics and she was so fun to work with! The image was stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers.

The background was sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. Next I added Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock.

Next I added two papers from Very Merry Patterned Paper and the sentiment was heat embossed on Red Hot card stock cut with Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

The image was popped up on foam in the scene and I finished off with Sweet Snowflakes Die-namics, cut from Silver Sparkle card stock.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD618 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd618 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Thinking of You - One Day Until MFT's November Release!

Welcome to the last day of MFT's November Release Countdown! Release is tomorrow at 10am, Eastern so set your clocks!! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the release details! Today we're previewing So Very Fawned of You Stamp Set, So Very Fawned of You Die-namics, Wonderful Woods Stamp Set, You Sleigh Me Stamp Set, You Sleigh Me Die-namics, Winter Kisses Stamp Set, and Winter Kisses Die-namics.

Oh my goodness! I can't tell you how excited I am about Wonderful Woods Stamp Set!!!!! Years ago we had a set with similar, although smaller, trees and I used them so much!! Needless to say, I have big plans for this set now ;)

For this card I started by sponging Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for my Winter Sky. Next I cut Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and used the die cuts to mark where I was going to stamp the trees on my horizon.

Then I stamped the trees, using several green dye inks and stamping off once for a few. Same with the leafless trees, only using Milk Chocolate dye ink for them. Once I was happy with my forest, I added the Stitched Snow Drifts after stamping the sentiment from So Very Fawned of You Stamp Set.

The little deer is also from So Very Fawned of You Stamp Set and was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. To complete the scene, the deer was popped up with foam tape and I finished off with some Petite Cloud Die-namics in the sky.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you tomorrow for the November MFT and Friends Feature!

I Have More Fun When I'm with You - Two Days Until MFT's November Release!

Hey there, and welcome to Day Two of MFT's November Release Countdown! Release is in two days, November 10th, at 10am Eastern so make all the notes! And don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details! Today we're previewing Ice Princess and Friends Stamp Set, Ice Princess and Friends Die-namics, Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namics, Sweet Snowflakes Die-namics (previous Free with $60), Grounding Elements Die-namics (previous Free with $60), and Baccarat Background Stamp.

How sweet are these Ice Princess and Friends Stamp Set images??? I knew I wanted to put them on a frozen lake ('cause ice skates!) so I began by sponging my background with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink at the top for the sky and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink at the bottom for the lake. Next I stamped all my images with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

Then I played around with placement for the colored images and decided to add Snow-Capped Mountains Die-namics in the background for more depth and balance. The were cut from Kraft and Sweet Tooth card stock and adhered directly to the card front.

I stamped the skate mark on the card front, added Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock along with the castle and colored mountains. The sentiment was stamped on Sweet Tooth card stock and popped up on foam tape, as were the remaining colored images for the finish.

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day One--and the last--day of MFT's November Release Countdown!

A Birthday Tweet Just for You - Three Days Until the MFT November Release

Hello, and welcome to Day Three of MFT's November Release Countdown! Release is in three days, November 10th at 10am, Eastern and you don't want to miss it! Today we're previewing Winter Songbird Stamp Set, Winter Songbird Die-namics, Winter Wreath Stamp Set, Winter Wreath Die-namics and Cable-Knit Sweater Stencil. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details.

I LOVE both of these stamp sets and Die-namics so I used them all on this card. The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers.

For the background panel, I sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape.

The images were popped up on foam and the sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips and also popped up on foam. I thought this sweet design was fine just like it was so didn't choose to add any embellishments--sometimes less really *is* more.

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope to see you back tomorrow for Day Two of MFT's November Release Countdown.
