Halfway to the Big Day--Three Days Until MFT's January Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Three of
MFT's December Release Countdown! Release is in three days, January 11th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing
Friendly Unicorns Stamp Set, Friendly Unicorns Die-namics, Heart Air Balloon Die-namics, Bitty Banner Alphabet Die-namics, Heart Extraordinaire Stencil, and Loopy Love Die-namics (Free with $60).

I love that we have Heart Extraordinaire Stencil now!! These stencils make it so easy to make a one layer card that looks layered, which is what I did on this one. To begin, I sponged the heart with Wild Cherry dye ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and then stamped Romantic Script Background with the negative and Black Licorice dye ink.

The stenciled panel was popped up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base covered with Summertime Polka Dots patterned paper. Next I cut Loopy Love Die-namics from Black & White Stripes patterned paper and twice from Black Licorice card stock which were stacked and then adhered to the stenciled heart.

To finish off, part of a sentiment from Bitty Hugs & Kisses Stamp Set was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics and popped up on foam.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two!

Stay Tuned! We Have More in Store--Four Days Until MFT's January Release

Hello and welcome to Day Four of
MFT's December Release Countdown! Release is in four days, January 11th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing Perfect Couple Stamp Set, Perfect Couple Die-namics, Slimline Slide-In Die-namics, Koala-ty Time Stamp Set, Koala-ty Time Die-namics, and
Heart Rays Die-namics

I just love Heart Rays  Die-namics! So many possibilities for color combos but I went with rainbow today, using
Wild Cherry, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, and Blu Raspberry card stocks. Once I had them all cut out, I taped them back together with tape on the back.

I wanted a little something extra, so I heat embossed the heart cluster from SY Perfect Couple Stamp Set multiple times on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock with white details embossing powder. Then I sponged it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and added it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

A panel of Sweet Tooth card stock was adhered with foam to the card base and the already assembled Heart Rays Die-namics popped up on foam as well. The sentiment, from SY Perfect Couple Stamp Set was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics and also popped up on foam. I finished off with some glitter enamel dots in rainbow colors to match.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Three!

Countdown Kickoff - Five Days Until MFT January Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Five of
MFT's December Release Countdown! Release is in five days, January 12th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing

Rainbows and hugs--how can you go wrong, right? To create this card using Sending Hugs Die-namics and Bitty Hugs & Kisses Stamp Set, I applied a watercolor wash in a rainbow pattern on Ranger Watercolor paper with Peerless Watercolors then spattered with clean water and gold acrylic ink.

Once dry, it was cut with Sending Hugs Die-namics and a shaker element added to the back using foam tape, clear acrylic card stock, and gold filler, then popped up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

To complete the card, a sentiment from Bitty Hugs & Kisses Stamp Stamp Set was heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Four!

Birthday Wishes - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #523

Hi, everyone, I’m back with the first MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge of 2021! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Love this graphic sketch! So much possibility! For my card, I went very CAS, using my FAVORITE Falling Leaves Die-namics as the focal point. To begin, on a Chantilly Cream card stock base, I spattered some gold acrylic ink. I love the CREAMY color of this new card stock so knew I wanted to go gold and black to highlight it.

Next I cut my leaves from Black Licorice card stock and painted them with the gold acrylic ink, leaving just the edges showing, and popped them up on the card base with foam tape.

The sentiment, from Bitty Birthday Wishes, was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock with gold detail embossing powder, then popped up on foam for the finish.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Miss You - Color Throwdown Challenge #624

Hello and welcome to the first Color Throwdown Challenge of 2021!! Are you ready for a brand new year of color! We are, and to start us off Amy Rohl has a super fun color combo to share with us, based on her adorable inspiration piece.

My card is very CAS but elegant, thanks to Winter Wreath Stamp Set and Die-namics from MFT. To begin, I heat embossed the sentiment on No Line Coloring card stock with gold detail embossing powder on a Chantilly cards tock base and spattered it with gold acrylic ink.

The image was stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Milk Chocolate dye ink (I thought I could get away with it with such small areas of color if I was careful and I did), cut it out with the coordinating Die-namiucs and colored the image, adding gold accents.

Once done, the image was popped up on foam tape for finish. I didn't think it needed anything else--sometimes less really is more.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD624 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd624 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
