Warm Winter Hugs - Color Throwdown Challenge #720

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Wanda is our hostess and she has challenged us to a gorgeous color palette based on the equally gorgeous inspiration piece.

I almost immediately got an idea for this challenge and went to work. I started by stamping Snowflake Flurry Background on Kraft card stock, cut the sides with Torn Paper Edges Die-namics, and adhered it to a Smooth White card stock base. Next, I cut Coffee Mug Die-namics from No Line Coloring cad stock and colored it with Copic markers to resemble a copper mug.

I adhered Stackable Snowflakes Die-namics, cut from Smooth White card stock, on the card front, then popped up the copper mug on foam tape. DBD Winter Greenery was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink and Iced Spruce Distress Ink, colored with Copic markers and nestled around the bottom of the mug.

The sentiment, from This Hugs's for You Stamp Set was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock then popped up on foam tape for the finish.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the
Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. Thanks - Color Throwdown Challenge #719

Hey there, it's time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Vickie is our hostess and she's challenging us to some seasonal colors, based on her gorgeous inspiration piece. Hope to see lots of you playing along with us this week.

To begin, I cut Lot's of Leaves Cover-Up Die-namics from No-Line Coloring card stock and colored the leaves with Copic markers. Next, I framed the leaves with Gold Shine card stock cut with A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics, adhered directly to the leaves die cut.

I created a Milk Chocolate card stock card base and adhered the leaves and frame with foam tape. Thanks Die-namics was cut from more Gold Shine card stock and adhered directly in the center.

To finish off, I added some matching enamel dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. A Note to Say Thanks - Color Throwdown Challenge #718

Hey there! Welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lynn is challenging us with a decidedly Fall color palette. Hope to see lots of you playing along with us.

Some time ago, MFT had Triangle STAX Die-namics that I loved and used a lot for cards similar to today's! Sadly they were retired and I had no triangles to play with. I was looking at MSTN Cool Christmas Trees Die-namics with a mind to creating a Fall forest with them but once I realized it was chocked full of triangles of every size I changed course and went for one of my favorite graphic designs.

To begin, I adhered a panel of MSTN Black & White Plaid Patterned Paper to a Smooth White card stock base, then cut all the trees from MSTN Cool Christmas Trees Die-namics from Butterscotch, Orange Zest, and Moroccan Spice card stocks. I had so much fun arranging the triangles and once I was happy, they were adhered to the card front, mostly popped up on foam tape.

Once that was done, I heat embossed the sentiment from Itty Bitty Thanks on Black Licorice card stock cut with Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics and popped it up on foam tape, as well. Some enamel dots in the challenge colors finished it off.

It's Time!! MFT's November Release is Now Available for Purchase!

Hello, it's time! MFT's November Release is available now for purchase so be sure to head on over to the MFT Online Boutique and shop! And don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more inspiration!

Lovin' this little cutie as she hits the slopes in her adorable ski suit. To begin, I created the background by sponging Fire Coral and Grape Jelly dye inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, then spattered it with water.

Once dry, Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, cut from Smooth White card stock was popped up on the background after stamping the sentiment. The background was then adhered to a Smooth White card stock base with foam tape.

The image was stamped on No Line coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and then added to the scene with foam tape. To finish off, some Cutest Clouds Ever Die-namics, cut from Smooth White card stock and popped up on foam.

And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

I love anything with birds on a wire so I couldn't wait to play with this adorable set from Rachelle Anne Miller!! To begin, I created a cloud background by sponging Summer Splash dye ink on Smooth White card stock with mini Cloud Edges Stencil, stamped the sentiment at the bottom, then adhered it to a Smooth White card stock base covered with MSTN Pretty in Plaid Patterned Paper.

The image was stamped on No Line coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, the fussy cut out and popped up on foam tape.
