MFTWSC260_2015dec24

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

This card started with an In the Buff card stock base, on which I stamped Spotlight Sentiments repeatedly with Black Licorice hybrid ink. Next I added a panel of Ranger watercolor paper that I covered with the sweet balloons from BB Birthday Bears, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink and watercolored with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. Its popped up on foam mounting tape, as are the two Balloon STAX Die-namics that were also watercolored and that have black twine added for strings.

The sentiment is from LJD You’re the Sweetest and was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark, then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and also popped up on foam.

And that’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by today—see you soon!

Wild About You

classcard_2015dec8

Hi, everyone! Today I’m sharing a card I made for MFT’s December Release Class. You might remember I did a similar design for a diorama—the card is an option for those who might not want to devote the time to a diorama but want to recreate the feel. Check out the PDF files and the play list HERE at the MFT blog for all the details on this project.

Thanks for stopping by today—see you soon!

Thank You–SSSC 300

SSSC300_2015dec20

Hi, everyone, I’m back today with a new—and the last—Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge card. It is with great sadness that I have to announce that the challenge will end after this one. Karen has wowed us week after week with her gorgeous sketches, but situations change, lives change, and she is needing to focus on other things, mostly her precious family. With that in mind, I thought a thank you card to Karen was most appropriate today. I hope we’ll see lots of you playing along with this farewell sketch and hope you’ll take the time to comment on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge blog and leave her some love and appreciation.

I started with a Kraft card stock base, stamped it with Burlap Background and Versamark, then added a layer of Dots and Stripes Neutral Paper Pack. Next, I cut holes in a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock using Blueprints 21 Die-namics, “piped” it with Black Licorice card stock, and popped it up with foam mounting tape. The sentiment was made with Label Maker Sentiments, Label Tape Die-namics, and Black Licorice dye ink, then also popped up on foam.

My shaker element was created with Circle STAX Set 2 Die-namics, Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics, Blueprints 18 Die-namics, heat resistant acetate, foam mounting tape, and Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I added Tropical Flowers cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with Tropical Flowers Die-namics and stamped with Pure Plum hybrid ink, Cranberry Cocktail hybrid ink, and Jellybean Green dye ink with a Black Licorice dye ink.

And that’s it for today and the
Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. The sketches will be archived on the blog so be sure to bookmark or pin it for future reference. Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

Hello Sweet Friend - MFTWSC #259

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! If you got like a thousand copies of yesterday's post, I apologize!! Blogger went all nutso on me and I don't know why! Hopefully that won't happen today. Sigh.

Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I started with a Stone Gray card stock base, then cut Blueprints 22 Die-namics from Ranger watercolor paper, trimmed off the side, stamped Roses All Over Background with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and did a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors before popping up on foam mounting tape.

The sentiment was made with Label Maker Sentiments, Label Tape Die-namics and Black Licorice dye ink, then popped up. I finished off with some silver sparkle card stock hearts, cut with Blueprints 11 Die-namics and Tag Builder Blueprints 3 Die-namics.

And that’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
