My Sun, My Moon, and All Of My Stars–MFTWSC #233

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

This is a pretty classic sketch, one that can go in many directions. I wanted to design my card around that sentiment and fact that it was kind of split in two sections with the fishtail strip made it easy to do. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. The top part of my “scene” was created with Blue Breeze card stock, a sun cut from Daffodil card stock with Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics and the clouds from Sweet Tooth card stock with Cover-Up Die-namics. For the bottom part, I stamped After Midnight card stock with Tiny Stars Background and Versamark, then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and splattered some watered down Sweet Tooth pigment ink for even tinier stars. From there I cut a Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on foam. The moon is also from Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics and it’s popped up on a Zig Zag Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics die cut. The sentiment is from LLD Count the Stars, stamped on a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped with Steel Gray dye ink. The “Stars” is from LLD Stars & Wishes Die-namics, cut from Ranger silver foil card stock and the smaller stars were cut from glitter paper.

Another sentiment from LLD Count the Stars was stamped on the inside.
