Hey, everyone! It’s Color Throwdown time! This week Broni has this awesome color combo base on an equally awesome inspiration piece!
OK, so although I LOVE this color palette, it SCARED me, LOL! When that happens I tend to go mostly white or another neutral and use the colors as accents—which is what I did today. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a silver metallic layer and another Sweet Tooth card stock layer, both popped up on foam. I stamped one of the snowflakes from LJD Snowflake Splendor on the white layer with Versamark and heat embossed with silver fine detail embossing powder. Then I cut out two of the snowflakes using LJD Snowflake Splendor Die-namics and stamped and embossed them. I stamped the sentiment, from MPD Starry Christmas, with Nightshift Blue ink and tied around some silver cord. I popped the two die-cut snowflakes up on foam and added the a Nightshift Blue button and a Sno Cone button as accent. I didn’t have a Calypso Coral button, so I simply colored a Sweet Tooth button with an R22 Copic. Perfect!
Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from MPD Starry Christmas.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD264 so we can see your beauty all in one place.
