Hi, and welcome to this week’s Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Another classic sketch from Karen that was so much fun to work with!
I’ve had this idea in my head for a while and finally got around to doing it. I started with a Stone Gray card stock base. Next is Sweet Tooth card stock stenciled with Snowfall Stencil and molding paste. Then I added a Black Licorice card stock strip, with the sentiment from Winter Wonderland stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I tied around some hemp baker’s twine and tied a bow for the “flower” element. For the circle element, I cut Sweet Tooth card stock with Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and sponged a night sky with a lit skyline.
Then I added Skyline Border Die-namics, cut from Steel Gray card stock and a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Blueprint 1 Die-namics to mimic a snowy city street. The car is the taxi from London Mouse and London Mouse Die-namics and the tree is from Winter Wonderland and Winter Wonderland Die-namics, both cut from Ranger watercolor paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. I splattered on some thinned down Copic Opaque White for the snow and finished off with the upper right element: Black Licorice card stock cut with Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics, stamped with Snowflake Flurry in Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped up on foam. What a fun card to make!! I love my little scene and hope you do, too!
Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
