Sweet Succulents–MFT March New Product Launch

NPL1_2016mar1

Hello all, thanks for joining me for MFT’s March New Product Launch!!! It’s time! MFT’s March Release is live right NOW!! All of the products we’ve been showing you for the last five days are now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique!

Print
Tonight I’m sharing three cards I made with LLD Sweet Succulents, LLD Sweet Succulents Die-namics, and LLD Perfect Planters Die-namics. Seriously, I was beside myself when I first saw these products!! I’d already promised myself I was going to start a succlent garden this year with some of the new gorgeously colorful succulents that are available now and along this comes! What an awesome surprise! I am totally in love with these products!

My first card was a little bit time-consuming but so worth it! I think I shall remove the sentiment and frame it, actually, I’m so pleased with how it turned out. I started with a
Sweet Tooth card stock base and added some Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper pack to the bottom. Then, on some X-Press it Blending card, I stamped the images, masking them as I went with Stamping Mask Paper and then airbrushed the background with Copic markers before removing the masking paper.

Then I colored them with Copic markers and added more intense “sky” color directly around the images with a Copic marker and popped the panel up on foam mounting tape on the base. To finish off, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up on foam.

My second card is simpler, technique-wise, but oh, so sweet.

Again, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added some Tranquil Textures Paper Pack down the right side. On some Ranger Watercolor paper, I stamped the cactus image with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored it with Zig Clean Color Brush Makers, adding some “sky” with markers, then popped it up on foam. I cut a LLD Perfect Planters Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper and colored it with markers, adding a “mossy” look. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped up on foam. To finish off, I added some enamel dots.

My third card came togeher in a jiffy and even more time could be saved by adding patterned paper to the bottom.

Again, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. On Ranger Watercolor paper created the bottom border with Geometric Grid Stencil and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors and adhered it to the base with a strip of Black Licorice card stock for definition. Then on more Ranger watercolor paper I did a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors, stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice hybrid ink, tied around some baker’s twine, and popped it up on foam mounting tape.

I stamped the images from LLD Sweet Succulents and LLD Sweet Succulents Die-namics with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up on foam and was done!

And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR
LLD Sweet Succulents, LLD Sweet Succulents Die-namics, and LLD Perfect Planters Die-namics set in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, March 3rd. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, March 4th. Good luck!!
