I have a couple of cards to show you today. Since it’s Day Three, it’s Pure Innocence day and we’ve got a real cutie for you this month. PI Fun In the Sun is on vacation and she’s grabbing some rays. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added some waves with Sweet Sunshine Paper Pack. Next I stamped up some Kraft card stock with Wood Plank Background and Kraft dye ink, then re-stamped (the beauty of the MISTI!) with Grout Gray dye ink to add a little weathered look. I popped that up on foam mounting tape for dimension.
PI Fun In the Sun was stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut out with PI Fun In the Sun Die-namics, Colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam mounting tape. I love how this design can be with her either lying on a beach towel or on a float. The beach bag was done the same way, then the sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 29 Die-namics , heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped up as well. To finish off, I added some clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins on the water to make it sparkle :)
*****
Next up is a totally different design. Funky Flowers are so much fun to color!!
I decide to created a very dramatic look with this card. I knew I wanted my flowers to be very colorful so I set them on a Black Licorice card stock backdrop. The sentiment is from Rainbow Greetings and was stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.
Funky Flowers were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on Ranger Watercolor Paper, cut out with Funky Flowers Die-namics, colored with Peerless Watercolors and a small water brush and then arranged on the base, some elements popped up on foam tape. I love the contrast of these colorful Funky Flowers and the black card base.
And, that’s it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two fo MFT’s June Release Countdown!

ReplyDeleteBarb, I totally thought that woodgrain was woodgrain paper not the stamp -- WOW!! I love your coloring on both cards and I'm not a huge floral person but I do love those flowers on black card stock. The paper piecing is great too -- gives us a real idea of the paper. I'm trying to keep a running list these days so I can be more efficient on release day since things sell out and waiting until the morning is a bad idea.... This is one of those bad releases for me....
