Hello and welcome to Day Five of MFT’s October Release Countdown! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas this month so be sure to check out all the details at the MFT Blog. Release is on October 4th at 10pm so mark your calendars. Today we’re previewing Merry Everything Stamp Set, Merry Everything Die-namics, Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics, Shaker Pouches 2" Circle, Premium Dye Ink Cubes - Set 7, Premium Dye Ink Cubes - Set 8, Premium Dye Ink Cubes - Set 9, Snowfall - Vertical Die-namics, and Snowfall - Horizontal Die-namics.
My first project is a tag using the new Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics, Merry Everything stamp set and Merry Everything Die-namics from the new products. I made a cute little shaker element, using foam mounting tape and Heat Resistant Acetate card stock and filing it with Sparkling Clear Mix sequins and Topping Set – Diamonds—I love these little things!! My tag base was cut from Silver Sparkle card stock and the images were cut from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers and popped up on foam.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Some baker’s twine finishes it off.
*****
My second project is a scene card—Santa is shimmying down the chimney!
I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base then added some After Midnight card stock (appropriate, don’t you think?) cut with Snowfall – Vertical Die-namics for the night sky. I added a roof top cut from chunky glitter card stock to finish the background. To make the chimney, I cut Sweet Tooth card stock with Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics, applied molding paste through English Brick Wall Stencil, and sponged on Brick Red dye ink, again through the stencil, after the paste was dry. I made the snow around the top by cutting more glitter paper with In the Clouds Die-namics and trimming off what I needed to fit the chimney.
The images from Merry Everything were stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink on X-Press It Blending Card, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out, and adhered with foam mounting tape. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 27 Die-namics, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and also popped up on foam.
And that’s it for Day Five of MFT’s October Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
