Hello and welcome to Day Three of MFT’s October Release Countdown! We’re moving right along, well on the way to Release, which is on October 3rd at 9pm Eastern. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing Dashing Deer Stamp Set, Dashing Deer Die-namics, Snow Globe Sentiments Stamp Set, Snow Globe Die-namics, Scenic Snow Globes Die-namics, Joy Die-namics - previous kit free with $60, Dome Shaker Pouches, Cherry Wood Adhesive- Backed Paper, and Diamond Dust.
My first card for you today uses Dashing Deer and Snow Globe Die-namics. You might say, “Hmmmm, wasn’t that just released in a kit?” And you’d be right, LOL! MFT decided to go ahead and release this and Scenic Snow Globes and Snow Globes Sentiments since it’s Christmas related and you NEED them :)
I started by sponging my background with the insanely awesome new Hills & Drifts Stencil. I started with Coral Crush dye ink and added to the sky with Blue Breeze dye ink, then went back down to do the drifts with Blue Breeze. Love how you get the feel of drifts without the added bulk of another card stock layer or two. Then I stamped three bare trees from Modern Trees and my background was done.
I then cut with Snow Globe, assembled the trees, and stamped and colored the images from Dashing Deer. I created my scene on the background cut out, added Diamond Dust into the pouch, inserted the background back in place and secured it on the back before adhering to my card base. The sentiment is from Dashing Deer and was heat embossed on the Snow Globe base.

My second card is simpler, but elegant, I think and would be fairly easy to mass produce.
When I was using Grateful last month it struck me how versatile this image was going to be, even for Christmas and Winter. This time, I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Silver Pearl embossing powder on Stone Gray card stock, cut it out with the new A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, and added berries with Gloss Red Berry Nuvo Crystal Drops, then set aside to dry.
The best match for the drops was Poppy card stock so I cut Joy Die-namics from it three times and layered it. I realized I had not been giving Poppy card stock the love it deserved—it’s a gorgeous orang-y red that I’m going to be using more for sure! Once the berries were dry, I added a piece of Poppy card stock, cut with A2 Rectangle STAX Set 2 to the card base and popped the main panel up on foam for dimension.
And that’s it from me for Day Three of MFT’s October Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two!
