Sending You a Long Distance Hug - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #527

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s
MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

This sketch obviously calls for sun rays so why fight it, right? So first of all I created my sky background using Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Broken China Distress Ink on Sweet Tooth card stock. Next I added the rays using Ray of Light Stencil, of course ;-) I've found that white craft paint works better than white pigment ink because it dried so fast. I just use a piece of art foam and add paint in thin layers until I get the look I want. Love how it fades out at the top.

Once that was done I adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape and added Stitched Rolling Clouds Edges Die-namics, also with foam tape, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped with a sentiment from I Miss Your Hugs Stamp Set using Extreme Black hybrid ink.

To finish, and to complete the theme set with the sentiment, the globe image was stamped with Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Distress ink and popped up on foam. The heart bubble was stamped with Candied Apple Distress Ink and also adhered with a bit of foam. A few clear drops were added for a little something extra.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
