You’ve Been on My Mind–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #397

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

This sketch is so versatile—you could do SO much with it, but my first thought was a shaker element so that center circle so I went with it. I did a watercolor background on Ranger Watercolor Paper then cut it out with Blueprints 31 Die-namics. Next I cut the center out with LLD Circle Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics and created my shaker element with a Circle Shaker Pouch, Peacock Feathers Nuvo Pure Sheen Confetti, and Silver Shimmer Seed beads. I cut Black & White Stripes Paper Pack with Blueprints 31 Die-namics and it fits perfectly around the circle pouch. I stamped the sentiment from Fluttering Friends Stamp Set and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.



Then I stamped the images from Fluttering Friends Stamp Set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on No-Line Coloring Card Stock, then colored them with Copic markers, then adhered them to the pouch and was done!

Happy Birthday Tutu You–Color Throwdown Challenge #505

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Today we have some sweet colors chose by my sweet friend Jodi and inspired by her equally sweet inspiration piece.



I thought this adorable bunny from the just-released Tutu Trio Stamp Set and Die-namics from MFT would be perfect for this challenge. First up, and on some Tropical Teal card stock, I sponged In the Spotlight Stencil with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and set it aside to dry. Then I stamped the image, on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored it with Copic markers.



I created a layered sentiment element by first cutting Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips from Fresh Squeezed Chevron Paper Pack then cut Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips from Stone Gray card stock and stamped the sentiment on it. Once my spotlight was dry, I splattered some watered down Copic Opaque White popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card base with foam tape. I adhered the image with foam tape as well as the sentiments strips. To finish off I added some tiny stars cut from Silver Sparkle card stock with Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-namics.

Thinking of You–MFT August New Product Release

I have a card for you using the new Fluttering Friends Stamp Set and Die-namics, Grand Greenery Die-namics, and Captivating Mandala Die-namics. I love those dragonflies!!! I started by doing an alcohol ink background with Aqua and Citrus inks and did my usual work with alcohol and a small brush. Once that was done I splattered it with copper Liquitex acrylic ink and popped it up on a card base with foam tape.



Next I cut Captivating Mandala Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, laid it on the card front, and adhered some Grand Greenery cut from Sour Apple card stock. I stamped the images on No-Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, colored them with Copic markers, and popped them up on foam. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics, heat embossed with copper detail embossing powder, and popped up on foam as well.

From All of Us on Your Birthday–MFT August Release Countdown, Day One

I do love these birds—all die cut and easy to assemble with any color or card stock or paper you want! What’s NOT to love, right? And this sentiment set—From All of Us, along with the one I used yesterday, From Me to You, are going to become staples in my stamp arsenal for sure!

SO! I started by stenciling my sky on Sweet Tooth card stock with Mini Cloud Edges Stencil, Blue Breeze Dye Ink, and a sponge dauber. Next I drew “wires” with a Black Copic Multiliner Pen along with some distant birds. I stamped the sentiment and adhered the card front to a card base.



Then I cut my birds out, assembled them, and popped them up on the card front with foam tape. Easy peasy for sure!

I Hope You Feel Better Soon–MFT Release Countdown, Day Two

Hi and welcome to Day Two of MFT’s August Release Countdown! Only two more days and you’ll be able to get your hands on all the gorgeous products we’ve been showing you. I’m always a sucker for a pretty rose so I’m loving this new Rolled Rose Die-namics. And, see that greenery? It’s Fab Foliage Die-namics big brother, Grand Greenery Die-namics, scaled to perfectly work with the new rose. Awesome! To begin, I stenciled Berrylicious dye ink through Captivating Mandala Stencil on Sweet Tooth card stock and splattered it with some black Liquitex acrylic ink, my new go to for ink splattering. I adhered that to a card base and stamped the sentiment from From Me to You Stamp Set with Extreme Black hybrid ink.



Then I cut Grand Greenery from Sour Apple and Limelight card stocks and Rolled Rose Die-namics from Peach Bellini, Coral Crush, and Persimmon card stocks. I assembled the roses, arranged everything, and adhered it all down with hot glue. I made one smaller flower—tighter and trimmed off a few outer petals—to resemble an opening bud, and finished off with some Tangerine Sprinkles
