Halfway to the Big Day - Three Days Until MFT's August Release!

Hello and welcome to Day Two of
MFT's April Release Countdown! Release is in three days, August 10th, at 10am Eastern so make a note! And be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for ALL the details! Today we're previewing TI Smell the Cake Stamp Set, TI Smell the Cake Die-namics, PI Pin It Stamp Set, PI Pin It Die-namics, Mini Birthday Messages Stamp Set (coordinates with the previously released Framed Greetings Cover-Up), and Slimline English Brick Wall Stencil.

I combined a couple of products from the upcoming release on today's card along with the gorgeous patterned paper from the recent Miss Tiina release.

To begin, I adhered MSTN Rainbow Plaid paper on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I'd planned this card all out in my head so next I cut Framed Greetings Cover-Up Die-namics from Black Licorice card stock and adhered it to the card base on foam tape. The sentiment, from Mini Birthday Messages Stamp Set, was stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on Sweet Tooth card stock cut with the center square, which was then also popped up on foam.

The images, from TI Smell the Cake Stamp Set, were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers. I added highlights with a white gel pen and adhered them to the card front with foam tape for the finish.

And that's all from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two of MFT's August Release Countdown!

You Did It! - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #553

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I immediately thought of BB You're Super Stamp Set and Die-namics when I saw this sketch! It's got everything I needed and I went right to town! I started with my background, sponging with Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and then through Ray of Light Stencil.

Once dry, I spattered some white craft paint for stars. Next I added a strip of Cement Gray card stock across the bottom of a Sweet Tooth card stock base with the sentiment and two of the stamped city scape images, popped up on foam.

The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored with Copic markers and popped up on foam to complete the scene.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Thinking of You - Color Throwdown Challenge #654

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Amy Rohl is our hostess and she's chosen a rustic color palette for us to work with. Hope to see you playing along with us!

I always have trouble with a totally neutral color combo so I went really CAS with this one--and it worked up really FAST. It would be a perfect design to mass produce, using different sentiments for different occasions.

So, first I stamped Wild Poppies Stamp Set on Kraft card stock and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. Next, I cut Cement Gray card stock with Elegant Folded Banner Die-namics and stamped it with a sentiment from the set and popped it up on the card front with foam, as well.

To add just a little more interest, I added several clear acrylic dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD654 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd654 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
