Thinking of You - Color Throwdown Challenge #654

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Amy Rohl is our hostess and she's chosen a rustic color palette for us to work with. Hope to see you playing along with us!

I always have trouble with a totally neutral color combo so I went really CAS with this one--and it worked up really FAST. It would be a perfect design to mass produce, using different sentiments for different occasions.

So, first I stamped Wild Poppies Stamp Set on Kraft card stock and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. Next, I cut Cement Gray card stock with Elegant Folded Banner Die-namics and stamped it with a sentiment from the set and popped it up on the card front with foam, as well.

To add just a little more interest, I added several clear acrylic dots.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD654 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd654 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

  1. Great CAS look. The flower stamp is lovely and I like that you show you can use stamps like that and not have to color them for them to look nice on a card. Your sentiment banner was neat too.
