Lonely Without You--Another Pure Innocence

I couldn't resist--had to do another cutie pie. This is Pure Innocence - My Balloon. How sweet is she???!!! There's another sentiment with the set, as well.

I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers and paper pieced her dress. I used paper from a little Jenni Bowlin pack called Red/Black Line Extension. I'm using the Weekend Sketch Challenge for this week, which worked really well with these little 4 x 4 papers. Not much more to explain here, I'm thinkin' ;-)

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow--this week's Stamp Simply challenge is another FUN one! Sharon is definitely taking me out of my comfort zone, LOL!

Sweet as a cupcake--Color Throwdown #68

Mornin', peeps!!! The super-talented Broni picked this week's Color Throwdown colors and they were a challenge--to me, anyway! She chose Only Orange, Crushed Curry, Real Red, and either dark brown or black. I'm subbing Dusty Durango for Only Orange and my dark neutral is Soft Suede.
Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp! and they are generously offering a $20 gift certificate to one lucky participant with free shipping! Check out the Throwdown blog for all the deets.

I'm not too crazy about my card, but it's done ;-) I'm thinking that blue background is totally out of place, but it's there and it's staying. I laid all the challenge colors out and they looked drab to me so I chose this patterned paper to spice it up a bit. Maybe too much, LOL? I stamped the cupcake image from Savor Sweet Cupcakes on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. I'm using Mojo Monday Sketch 112 for my layout and I love that part. For the top element, I cut/embossed Dusty Durango with a Petite Oval Nestabilitie, folded it in half and inserted a grommet for the ribbon. The only thing left was to stamp the sentiment on the bottom element and pop the cupcake up on 3M foam squares.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. And don't forget--there's also a chance to be chosen as Featured Stamper. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use Mr. Linky to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily and so you'll be eligible to win (only directly linked entries will be considered for Featured Stamper--see the sidebar on the blog for all the details). And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown--failure to do this will also disqualify you from winning. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD68 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there!

Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Wrapped In Love Gift List Book

I've got another project for you today that I made with this month's WTG set from My Favorite Things, called Wrapped In Love. I know I'm not the only one who forgets what they give who for Christmas. At least I hope not ;-) I tried keeping a list on a sheet of paper, but who knows where that is, LOL? So, I thought if I had a pretty book, I'd be more apt to keep it up and keep it in sight. I'll use a sheet every year and make a note of what I gave each recipient so I don't repeat a gift too often ;-)

I picked up this little book at Michaels from the dollar bin and proceeded to alter it. I simply bent the binding apart to get the front and back off to cover them. You can see I left a couple kinda crooked when I bent them back ;-) I stamped WTG and the gifts on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored with Copic markers and paper pieced. Narrow ribbon serves as the ribbon and bows on the packages and WTG and the packages are up on 3M foam squares. I used regular sized Figgy patterned paper for the cover and designs from the 6 x 6 pad for the paper piecing. I stamped letters from Bling 'Bet for the title on Whisper White with Always Artichoke Craft ink and heat embossed with fine detail clear embossing powder before cutting them out. I didn't have any dark red rhinestones, so I airbrushed some clear ones with my Copic airbrush system. I don't use it often, but I LOVE that thing!! Confession time: I was not over-the-moon excited the first time I saw Bling 'Bet. But, as you can tell, I've grown to love it too!

Thanks for stopping by--I love it when you do!

Deck the halls

Still playing with Holiday Button Bits. I had this bright idea to hang these little ornaments from a tree branch. So I started looking through my patterned paper and found this design amongst all the lovely papers in the Dewfrost 6 x 6 pack by Memory Box.

I stamped the ornaments individually, placing them were I wanted them on the branch, with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and attached the Vintage buttons with Pearl cotton. Tied a ribbon around and made a Bow Easy bow, then stamped the sentiment and added some flat backed pearls. Sorta clean and simple. It turned out pretty much how I'd envisioned it :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I love it when you do!

Ready for some more Pure Innocence?

I've got another one of My Favorite Things' Pure Innocence cuties for you today. See I told you I would ;-) This one is called Pure Innocence- -Apple For You. Look at that sweet little face. Honestly, of all the little girl images out there, this new MFT line is my FAV!!

I stamped her on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers--except for her dress, which is paper pieced. DSP is retired SU! Summer Picnic. The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders tag die and tied on with Pearl cotton. This one would be SO cute for a teacher gift, don't you think? But there're all sorts of occasions this would come in so handy for! So, what are you waiting for? Hop on over to MFT and get you some Pure Innocence!
