CTD #125 & MFTWSC #3

Can I just say I can't believe it's Wednesday again already? Man, time is flying!! OK, it *is* Wednesday so that means it's Color Throwdown day AND My Favorite Things' Wednesday Sketch Challenge day! It's also my day to host the CTD challenge, so without further ado, here are the colors I've chosen for this week:

Some nice soft, soothing colors :) And here's my card.

I'm using Basic Grey's Kioshi patterned paper since it had all the colors. The focal image sentiment, from More Essential Sentiments,  was stamped on MFT Whip Cream card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, layered on more patterned paper and MFT Fossil card stock, using the Layered Labels Die-namics die set (temporarily out of stock). I used the Perfect Petal Trio Die-namics set for the layered flower and tied it together with twine and a button. The dark border looked a little plain, so I did some crazy stitching all around.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD125 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

LeAnne Pugliese - Wee Inklings
Broni Holcombe - Splashes of Watercolor
Danielle Kennedy - Wild Dragonfly Designs
Tammy Hershberger - Stamp Happy
Kristin Beuter - Mindless Creativity
Laura Pryor - Lil' Inker Designs
Cathy Indelicato - Crafty Thoughts...
Lori Tecler, January guest Designer - Inking Aloud

This card is also for the MFT Wedneday Stamp Club challenge. MFT is super excited to announce that Wednesday Stamp Club will now be centered around a weekly sketch. We know your stamping time is precious, and we want you to maintain as much creative freedom as possible. Sketches are the perfect starting point to a card. Use it as a blueprint, and create a card using the stamp set and supplies that strike your fancy. You can turn to the sketches time and again for creative inspiration.

Here's this week's sketch:

A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter. Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us.

Thanks SO much for stopping by!
