MFT June Release Rewind

releaserewind_2014jun12

Hi, everyone! It’s time for this month’s Release Rewind! I love this feature since it gives the designers a great opportunity to use some products we might not have gotten around to using during the release. This almost always happens for me so I’m really excited about this chance to be creative with the amazing new MFT products that are available right HERE, right NOW in the MFT Boutique. To get all the details, be sure to stop by the MFT Blog.

I have a couple of cards for you today. The first is sort of elegant and uses a couple of products I didn’t get around to using during the release. This card started with a Black Licorice card stock base. Next, I stamped a piece of Whip Cream card stock with Romantic Script Background and Encore Gold ink, cut it out with Stripes Cover-Up Die-namics, and adhered it to a piece of Berrylicious card stock, which was then matted with metallic gold card stock and popped up on foam on the base.

Next I cut the groom from Bride & Groom Die-namics from
Black Licorice card stock, his shirt from Sweet Tooth card stock, and the bow tie from Berrylicious card stock an assembled it. I even slipped in a Berrylicious cummerbund ;-) I popped that up on foam and went to work on the dress. I cut that from Whip Cream card stock, added the flourish-y lace, and popped that up, too. I cut an ampersand from Ampersand Die-namics out of metallic gold paper and popped that up over them both. The sentiment, from LJD Together Forever, was stamped on Black Licorice card stock cut with a die from Blueprints 13 Die-namics. I used Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up, as well. The finishing touch was a few sequins, one used as the groom’s boutonniere.

Another sentiment from LJD Together Forever was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice Hybrid ink.

I had so much fun with At the Office and Office Supplies Die-namics during release I just had to make another card with those products. It occurred to me that they might work wonderfully with LLD Document It – School Days and LLD Accent It – School Days Die-namics so I set out to see.

This card started with a Primitive White card stock base. Next I stamped the pencil image from LLD Document It – School Days multiple times on another piece of Primitive White card stock and colored the pencils with Copic markers. I used part of that for the bottom part of the card front and added some cork sheets to the top. They were both adhered to a piece of Steel Gray card stock and popped up on foam on the base. Then, with Office Supplies Die-namics, I made my clip board, using Kraft card stock for the base and silver mirror card stock for the clip. On another piece of Primitive White card stock, I stamped Notebook Paper Background with Berrylicious ink, then stamped the “From the Desk of:” sentiment with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and scribbled a “signature” under it. The “A+” is from LLD Document It – School Days and was stamped with Red Hot Hybrid ink, as was the circle from At the Office. “Nice Work” was stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and highlighted with Lemon Drop Hybrid ink—both images from At the Office. The pencil was cut from LLD Accent It – School Days Die-namics, stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam. The apple is from  LLD Document It – School Days and LLD Accent It – School Days Die-namics and was stamped with Red Hot Hybrid ink and Gumdrop Green Hybrid ink. The stem was colored with a marker and the apple was popped up on foam. Enamel dots and a paper clip, cut with Office Supplies Die-namics from silver mirror card stock finish it off.

Another sentiment from LLD Document It – School Days was stamped on the inside.
