See that blinkie off the the right? Yep, we're coming up on 100 Color Throwdown challenges and we're celebrating in style! Put July 7th on your calendar--you will NOT want to miss this. You can see this post for more details.
So, today, Tammy's got a gorgeous color combo for us! I really, really love it!
Ain't it purty? Today is also CAS-tastic Challenge day and we have a fun and right-up-my-alley kinda challenge: buttons. You know I love me some buttons :)
My layout was inspired by this sketch from Sasya's Sketch Challenge. I thought this was such an interesting sketch I had to try it. This patterned paper is perfect for all three challenges, I think. My base card is So Saffron. I layered the patterned paper on Pumpkin Pie, then added a strip of lace, sewed onto some twill for stability, added a little paper piercing, and popped it up on the So Saffron layer with foam tape. Next I stamped the sentiment, from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages, with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and added the buttons, tied with twine. I was so thrilled to find a use for more of those big honkin' buttons ;-)
Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD96 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
