June 11 - ssnotime143 - Give it a Chance! - Today we are going to dig into our drawers, boxes or bags of those rejected or unfinished pieces -- I KNOW we all have those containers. Gosh, I have WAY too many of them. Pull out a piece you started at some other time and for whatever reason you just never finished it and it ended up in that collection of *maybe I'll use this someday* items. Be sure to tell us what piece you have rescued and given a 2nd chance to! Should be fun!!!
Isn't this a great challenge! I definitely have a few things tucked away that never got used and I'm loving dragging one out to put to use. Saved time, for one thing, and I used up a tiny piece of collected "stuff". Yay!
The item I'm using is the image. It's from MFT's Rainy Day Friends and I stamped and colored it last year for a project that never happened--sound familiar? So it's been languishing in a drawer since then. I decided to put it to use with Mojo Monday Sketch #142 and some of my new MFT Die-namics dies for what I think is a very fun card! The image was already colored with Copic markers and all I did this time was to cut it out. I used the Scalloped Scallop Die for the bottom border, the Clouds Trio Die for the water "puddle" and clouds (cut from this white felt), and the Sunshine Die for the sun. Pretty much every layer was popped up on Pop Dots, and the little tabs are made from twill ribbon. I love it and I think it's MUCH better used for this project than for the original, LOL!
Here's the inside:
So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime143 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love!
