A book is like a garden...C4C #53

Are you ready for a new Crazy 4 Challenges challenge? We have a fun one for you today, but before I get to that, please help me welcome the newest member of the design team--my bestie, Tammy Hershberger!! Woohoo!! With this happy news, however, there comes some sad: one of the founders of the challenge, Vicki Garret, has decided to step down. We'll miss you, Vicki, and your awesome designs week after week!

OK, on to the challenge! The sweet and oh-so-talented Joycelyn Pelkey is our hostess this month and today she's challenging us to do a book related project. Here's what she says:

With School starting up again let’s celebrate books! Create a bookmark, use a book/student image, or create a card inspired by a favourite book.

Fun, huh?!! Well, I just *had* to do another card with MFT's new Clearly Sentimental About Books, which is this month's Triple Scoop set.

And what better paper to use than October Afternoon's Report Card? I stamped my Framed Greetings border and the sentiment on Very Vanilla with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out with my Framed Greetings Die-namics die. I thought that sentiment needed some flowers, so I made some with my Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics die, put some little buttons in their centers, and added some punched out leaves. Easy peasy with those Die-namics dies, I tell ya!

Sooooo, NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of my crazy girls...er, I mean the Crazy 4 Challenges team ;-)
THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C53.

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

  8. every element on this one is fabulous, but the sentiment 'sang' to me....I am a voracious reader and this sentiment is how I feel about my Kindle...it is a whole library in my pocketbook (rather than my pocket) and makes the world my reading room....tfs
