MFT December Creative Challenge - It's a Wrap!

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, "It's a Wrap" Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have creative gift solutions for you today!

Hi, everyone! This is such a fun challenge--and one that will get put to good use right away! This will go winging it's way to the recipient tomorrow via the USPS. Not saying to whom it's going, but I hope the recipient likes it :)

Another project that wouldn't fit in my light box ;-) Or not well, LOL. So you can see it without the handles being smushed, I took the first picture on my front porch. The close ups were done in my light box, smushed ;-)

OK, NOW on to the project. I'm using a fairly large Kraft bag with handles. The green gingham patterned paper is 6" wide, so you can get some idea of the size.

For the bag itself, I used the Simply Scallops Die-namic die for the border, then added some patterned paper and ribbon with a big ol' bow. The sentiment, from Clearly Sentimental About Christmas, was stamped on Kraft card stock that I cut out with my Clearly Sentimental Label Die-namics die and popped up on some foam.

I love how the tag turned out. I cut the base with my Tag, You're It! Die-namics die then added a Simply Scallops border and some patterned paper. THEN, I made a rosette with the 1/4" Rosette Die-namics die (I just ordered a second one of these--when making one of my banners, it will cut my rosette cutting time in half!). Full size, it was a bit too large for my tag, so I trimmed off 1/2" of the width, which made it the perfect size, and preceded as usual. I assemble my rosettes with hot glue--works fast and really well. I stamped the sentiment for the tag from Inspired by Christmas, on a First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics die cut, then placed it on the rosette and topped that with one of my favorite flowers this season--my Upsy Daisy Die-namics poinsettia. A few embellishments and it was done.

And, that's it! I hope I've given you an idea or two for your WRAPping projects.
