A Little Bird Told Me…–CTD #190

CTD190_2012may2

It’s time again for the Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lori is our host and here are her colors, inspired by her lovely inspiration piece.

swatch 190

I couldn’t find any patterned paper that had all the colors in it in my stash so I decided to create a scene—SO easy to do with
MFT Die-namics dies :)

First of all I laid down my background paper and stitched it to some
Whip Cream card stock. Next I cut out all my die cuts, measured carefully, and stamped the sentiment. Then I added my Die-namics Woodgrain Fence die cut and over that my Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass layer. Next I added my Die-namics Sunshine sun with twine-tied button and my Die-namics Flat-Bottom Clouds, popping one up on foam dots for some dimension. To finish it off, I added a blue bird on the fence, made with my Die-namics Contempo Cage & Stamp Set die set, finished off with a little black crystal eye.

Here’s the inside with a bird, a branch, and another sentiment from the set. I curved the sentiment on my stamping block before stamping it.
