Hi, everyone! Welcome to this week’s—and the last for this year—Color Throwdown challenge. That’s right, we’re taking the rest of December off, but we’ll be back on January 2 with the first challenge for 2013. This week, the awesomely talented Broni is challenging us to an equally awesome color combo. Just look at her inspiration photo—gorgeous!
OK, so I went very simple with my layout. I wanted to use another stamp from the recently released LJD On the Line from MFT. I stamped the sentiment from the set on part of my Die-namics Layered Label set with black ink, then over stamped with a flourish from Finishing Flourishes with the brand new Lemon Drop ink. I used some patterned paper layers, some stitching, and finished of with a big ol’ Die-namics Plentiful Petals flower. I added some Die-namics Royal Leaves and a Black Licorice button center, tied with Denim baker’s twine. Other MFT products I used are Sweet Tooth card stock, Black Licorice card stock, Lemon Drop card stock, Jellybean Green card stock, and Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX.
Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set.
Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this card:
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD222 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
