Happy Birthday–MFT March Teaser, Day Five

Woohoo! It’s Saturday and Day Five of MFT’s March Teasers! Today we have two Doodle Garden sets to preview: Doodle Garden - Party Time and Doodle Garden - Fluttering By. I have a card using Doodle Garden - Party Time, more on that in a minute, but first…

So, I wanted to see how CAS I could make a card with a colored image. First I stamped the image on some Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I trimmed it down all around to a A2 mat size and embossed a wide border across the bottom. Next I colored the image with Copic markers and drew in the grass with Prismacolor pencils. Finally, I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice ink and added some clear gems. I popped the whole panel up on foam on the Sweet Tooth card stock and was done!

Except for the inside. I really don’t think a card is finished until the inside is done, so I added another sentiment from the set:

    Love the clean look; it showcases your lovely coloring. I especially like the white/white mat - inside and out - it adds that nice feel/weight that I miss from CAS cards
