Hey, there! It’s Wednesday noon so it must be time for this week’s MFTWSC! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.
I wanted to use Watt’s Up? again so I decided to see if I could get it to work with this sketch. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, rounded the corner, and added a Sweet Tooth card stock layer that I stamped with Grid Background and Electric Red ink—appropriate, don’t you think? ;-) I stamped the sentiment at the bottom with Steel Gray ink and then added a Pierced Traditional Tags STAX Die-namics layer that I shortened to work on the card.
Using Sun Ray Stencil, I sponged on some Sweet Tooth pigment ink radiating from the Lightbulb Die-namics. It was made by layering Sweet Tooth card stock, the filament, cut from silver glitter paper, and vellum. The base was made from black and silver mirror card stock. The vertical element was made by cutting Peek-a-Boo Chevrons Die-namics from Steel Gray card stock and lining it with Electric Red card stock. Some red mirror card stock cut with Sequins Die-namics finished it off.
Another sentiment was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray ink.
And there you have it! Thanks so much for stopping by—hope to see you playing along this week!
