MFT March Release Rewind

releaserewind1_2015mar5

Hello, and welcome to the first day of MFT’s March Release Rewind! What a fabulous release this is! So much fun!! This is where the Design Team gets a chance to use some products we might not have had a chance to use during the Countdown, or, just to continue to explore the newly-released products.

I’m exploring Happy Trio Die-namics (Free With $60 this month) today :) My first card is on the masculine side—so hard to come up with them sometimes, don’t you think? Several of the new colors lend themselves wonderfully to the masculine side so I put them to use, too. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. One a piece of Kraft card stock, I stamped Striped Background with Versamark and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I wanted some design on my background but nothing too showy and this is perfect. Next I created my balloons using Balloon STAX Die-namics. Left to right: Blue Breeze card stock stamped with Fine Check Background and Blue Breeze dye ink, Cranberry Cocktail card stock stamped with Cranberry Cocktail dye ink and Grid Background, and finally, After Midnight card stock stamped with After Midnight dye ink and Fine Chevron Background. I added hemp cord strings and popped them up on foam. I cut the medium size of Happy Trio Die-namics five time and adhered them together—so much easier than trying to cut very narrow strips of foam on which to pop it up. The sentiment, from Totally Happy, was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I finished off with some glittery stars cut with Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics and Scattered Stars Die-namics.

On the INSIDE, I stamped another sentiment and some stars from Totally Happy with After Midnight dye ink and Cranberry Cocktail dye ink.

For my second card I brought out a rainbow :)

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock I stamped an image from Abstract Art using, top to bottom: Blue Breeze dye ink, Summer Splash die ink, Limelight dye ink, Daffodil die ink, Orange Fizz dye ink, and Wild Cherry dye ink. The sentiment, from Totally Happy, was stamped at the bottom with Black Licorice dye ink. Then I cut the smallest dye from Happy Trio Die-namics six times and adhered one over each color swipe. I finished off with more glittery stars using Sun, Moon, & Stars Die-namics and Scattered Stars Die-namics.

On the INSIDE, I stamped another sentiment from Totally Happy.
