Hi there, everyone! I’m back with Day Four of MFT’s March Release Countdown. Today we’re previewing BB Strike up the Band Stamp Set, BB Strike up the Band Die-namics, Prehistoric Fun Stamp Set, Prehistoric Fun Die-namics, In the Clouds Die-namics, Radiant Sun Die-namics - Free with $60, and Arrow Ends Background Builder. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details—remember that release is March 1st at 10pm.
I’ve been wanting to make a pop up box card for a while and I thought this totally adorable marching band was perfect for one! This was my first one and took a while to make but once I understood the mechanics of it, it became lots of fun! I’ll be making more for sure!
I used Kraft card stock for my base, created my box and decorated the inside back and the three flaps. I cut all the images with BB Strike Up the Band Die-namics from X-Press It Blending Card, stamped the images from BB Strike Up the Band with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.
The sun was cut from Sunshine card stock with Radiant Sun Die-namics, the clouds from Sweet Tooth card stock with In the Clouds Die-namics and the grass from Sour Apple card stock with Grassy Fields Die-namics.
Here’s a side view from the top to show how the images were mounted. I arranged them as if they were marching in an “S” formation.
I decorated the outside with Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack matted with Black Licorice card stock and simply stamped the images again with Black Licorice hybrid ink—I thought to keep the outside simple since so much was going on inside. To keep it semi-flat, I tied some black and white gingham ribbon around in a bow
And that’s it from me for Day Four of MFT’s March Release Countdown. Thank so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for more previews!
