Hello, and thanks for joining me for MFT’s February New Product Release!! All of the products we’ve been teasing you with for the last five days are now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique!
I have a couple of cards to share with you focusing on Rainbow of Happiness Stamp Set. SO many wonderful and heartlelt sentiments in that set—you’ll be using it all the time! But first, I have to tell you that I am thrilled to be a contributor to this month’s FREE mini classes—there are five tutorials in one PDF file that can be found in the Resources Section of the MFT Blog.
For my first card, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then, on some Ranger Watercolor paper, I did a wash with Peerless Watercolors and then added some rain with Raindrops Stencil and translucent embossing paste and set it aside to dry. Next I cut Stitched Rainbow Die-namics and Sunny Skies Die-namics from Ranger Watercolor paper and colored them, also with Peerless Watercolors.
I assembled the rainbow, stamped the sentiment from Rainbow of Happiness on the “sky” panel with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and popped that up on foam mounting tape on the card base. I adhered the sun, popped the rainbow up on foam, and added the clouds, cut from Puffy Clouds Die-namics—Cement Gray card stock clouds over the raindrops and Sweet Tooth card stock clouds over the rainbow, pushing the storm clouds out of the way :)
*****
For my second card I added a rainbow in another way.
This card also started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I added some Dots & Stripes Neutral Paper Pack down the right side, then cut Ranger Water color paper to cover the rest of the card front. On this I stamped Lots of Dots Background with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and using the emboss resist technique, did a watercolor wash all over with Peerless Watercolors. I popped that up on foam, added Sunny Skies Die-namics cut from Sunshine card stock and Puffy Clouds Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock.
The sentiment was partially stamped on Black Licorice card stock cut with Blueprints 22 Die-namics and then I added “Color” cut Color the Rainbow Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and colored with Copic markers. I popped that up on foam and was done!
And that’s it! I hope I’ve given you some ideas for using YOUR Rainbow of Happiness stamp set in some fun ways. Thanks so much for stopping by…and happy shopping!! And don’t forget that MFT will be giving away TWO $100 vouchers—to have a chance to win one, be sure to comment on each of the designers’ blogs by end of the day on Thursday, February 4th. The winners will be announced on the MFT Blog on Friday, February 5th. Good luck!!
