Hello and welcome to Day Four of MFT’s August Release Countdown! Today we’re previewing another totally fun lineup: BB Magical Dragons Stamp Set, BB Magical Dragons Die-namics, Mirror Image Stamp, Monster Love Stamp Set, Monster Love Die-namics, Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Windows Die-namics, and Triple Stripe Background. Remember that release is on August 2nd at 10pm EDT and you can get all the details at the MFT Blog.
Yikes!! How cute is that dragon??? Birdie Brown has done it again! I’m in love with this cute little guy!! For my card using this set, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then created a background by applying Peerless Watercolors to Ranger Watercolor Paper with a waterbrush, then splattered with clean water. I added Stitched Mountain Range Die-namics, also watercolored, and Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics cut from watercolor paper to set the scene. Before I adhered the cloud edge, I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice hybrid ink.
Then I stamped the dragon and flame images from BB Magical Dragons on more Ranger Watercolor Paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, cut them out with BB Magical Dragons Die-namics, colored with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush, and popped them up on the card front. I finished off with some Puffy Clouds Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock.
*****
My next card uses these very (non-)scary monsters from Monster Love.
This card also started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I cut more Sweet Tooth card stock with Stitched Triple Peek-a-Boo Windows Die-namics, stamped three monsters with Tangy Orange dye ink, Limelight dye ink, Blu Raspberry dye ink, and Black Licorice dye ink on scraps, positioned them, and popped the cut outs up on foam mounting tape, adhering the images at the same time—much easier than trying to hit the openings with the stamps ;-) Before I did that, I added a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Triple Stripe Background and Black Licorice dye ink across the bottom.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, partially colored with Copic markers, and popped up on foam. Another monster was stamped with Red Hot dye ink, cut out with Monster Love Die-namics and also popped up on foam. I finished off with an assortment of enamel dots and stars cut with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Blueprints 25 Die-namics.
And that’s it for Day Four of MFT’s August Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
