Hello, I’m back with another Color Throwdown Challenge! This week our hostess is Amy Rohl and she has picked a classic color combo based on her equally classic inspiration piece.
Since the colors and inspiration piece are calm and simple in design, I went the same way. I’ve been seeing art work around with just one large framed tropical leaf so that was my inspiration. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and added strips of Calm & Cozy Chevron Paper Pack down each side. Then on another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock I cut Rectangle Peek-a-Boo Window Die-namics and stamped the sentiment from Thanks so Very Much with Black Licorice dye ink.
I popped that up on the base with foam mounting tape and added a leaf from Leafy Greenery Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock. To finish off I added some enamel dots.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD444 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd444 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented May Guest Designer, Amy Tsuruta!
