There's a good chance that a lot of your birthday cards are designed with kids in mind but really, it's just so fun to tap into your childlike side to create something that will appeal to the lucky little ones in your life. We're letting loose this month, encouraging our team to play with ideas that will appeal to kids (or, kids at heart!)
What would a little boy love more than a space explorer, right? So I got out my BB Space Explorer Stamp Set and Die-namics and went to work. First I created my background using Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks. Once dry, I spread Ranger Micro Glaze over it, heat embossed the sentiment, and then spattered white craft ink for stars.
The sky panel was popped up on foam tape on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I added the “moon”, cut from Grout Gray card stock with A2 Circle STAX and stamped with Grout Gray dye ink and Distressed Patterns Stamp Set, also popped up on foam tape.
The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and added to the scene with foam tape.
And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! We hope to see you playing along with the challenge on the MFT Blog. Prizes are to be had!
