MFT Greatest Hits - à la modes

It's time again for MFT Greatest Hits! This month we're showcasing the à la modes, those sassy girls :) I'm showing you à la modes in What's Cooking? (temporarily out of stock) but you'll want to see what the rest of the Creative Team has come up with using these cuties, so be sure to check by Kim's blog after 11:00am this morning and she'll have the complete list for you.

I love to cook, so I guess that's why I'm especially drawn to this one. I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel and colored it with Copic markers. I used the Little Open Scallop Die-namics die for the second element base--I really {heart} that little die. Other MFT products I used are Sweet Tooth and Hot Fudge card stock, and Chocolate Kiss button collection.

 For the inside, I stamped part of the image again, without coloring, and added another sentiment from the set. So cute!

MFT Greatest Hits - Pure Innocence

Welcome back for this month's MFT Greatest Hits. Since we've been enjoying a year of the Pure Innocence line at MFT, we're highlighting these adorable images this month. OK, on to a little Pure Innocence. I'm using Presents For You. I love to paper piece these little darlings and this Melissa Francis Home For the Holidays collection has an adorable houndstooth check that I just HAD to use for her little coat and hat. Don't you LOVE that little "velvet" collar? :) She was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and otherwise colored with Copic markers. I did a little paper piecing on her presents, too, and added some Liquid Applique to her hat. And, of course, I had to add a snowflake cut with the Snowflake Trio Die-namics die. Other MFT products I used are Fossil card stock and a button from the Chocolate Kiss collection.

Here's the inside, with another sentiment from the set and a border using the new Faux Crochet border die. Oh, I do love this die :)

MFT's Greatest Hits - Who's That Girl

I chose Santa Baby for my project. I'm always looking for new Christmas decor items and I thought this would be a fun and cute project. I found this frame at JoAnne's. It was $1.99 and I had a 50% coupon so it cost me $1.04 including tax! What a bargain! So I painted it with some red craft paint, distressed it with a sanding block and some Vintage Photograph Distress Ink to vintage it up a bit. Then I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel, paper pieced much of it and Copic colored the rest. And added some Liquid Applique to Santa's beard and cuffs. Then I just put it together, much like a card, and put it in the frame. See those Bling 'Bet letters? So perfectly cut? I did them with my Cricut :) I used the Bling 'Bet Alpha Shadow file and then stamped the letters on the die cuts. If you've ever cut these letters out by hand, as I have, you'll really appreciate how fast and perfectly the cut files work. I popped them up on Pop Dots, tied on the sentiment, added some Snowflake Trio Die-namics die cuts and some buttons and it was done. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out and I expect to get lots of comments on it during the Christmas season. Other MFT products I used are Wild Cherry and Gumdrop Green card stock
