Traveling the mojo road

Heh, heh, sorry about the title--couldn't resist :) This card is for Mojo Monday #71--in just under the wire. It's also using the colors for this week's Paper Craft Planet's color challenge: Kiwi Kiss, Ballet Blue, and Chocolate Chip. At first I thought, "I don't know about this combination", but once I started pulling out stuff, it started growing on me and now I like it :)

My base card is Whisper White with a layer of Chocolate Chip. The next layer is part Bella Rosa DSP and part Ballet Blue on which I stamped a pattern in Ballet Blue ink. I have this stamp that is larger, but very similar to the pattern on the Bella Rosa paper, so that's what I went with. I like it. A brown satin ribbon covers the seam. The sentiment is stamped with Chocolate Chip on Whisper White with a stamp from Verve's Beautiful You set. It's sponged with Ballet Blue and matted with Ballet Blue, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip. Three Fresh Cut Grass Dew Drops accent the bottom and it's up on 3M foam squares. The flower element is a combination of brown silk hydrangea (from Wal*Mart--check out their floral department--lots of useful things there!), a blue Prima, and a designer brad (The Paper Studio--Asian Floral). A brown satin bow and more Dew drops in the corners finish it off.

Vibrant Fresh Cuts

This card is for PCP's color challenge #4 (yes, I'm still catching up, LOL) and SCS sketch challenge 208. The colors were definitely a challenge: Ruby Red (or Riding Hood Red), Sage Shadow, Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Basic Black (or Chocolate Chip).

My base card is Whisper White, followed by a layer of Basic Black that's paper pierced all around with faux stitching with a glitter pen. The next element is Basic Gray, layered with Sage Shadow. The focal image is from Fresh Cuts and was stamped with Basic Gray and colored with Ruby Red and Sage Shadow Stampin' Markers. I added some shimmer to several areas with my Sakura glitter pen and put silver brads in the corners. It's layered on Ruby Red and is up on dimensionals for a little definition.

Inspired By Nature

This card is for the Paper Craft Planet color challenge #2: Elegant Eggplant, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, and Very Vanilla. C'mon people, lets have some Christmas colors here, LOL!!! I guess I'll just have to get to the sketch challenges for Christmas cards.

Despite not being Christmas colors, I really like how this card turned out. This was my first try with Inspired By Nature and I can see it done in lots of colors in the future. My base card is Chocolate Chip with a layer of Kiwi Kiss, then Elegant Eggplant. On Very Vanilla, I first stamped the grass image with Kiwi Kiss. Then I inked up the echinecea image using my SU! markers in Elegant Eggplant, Chocolate Chip, and Creamy Caramel and stamped it on top. The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get it right. And I then sponged around the edges with Creamy Caramel--I can't stop sponging, LOL!!! Some Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin ribbon across one corner and three Fresh Mowed Grass Dew Drops finish it off. Thanks a bunch for stopping by!
