I'm also using April's Key Ingredients Kit for just about everything on this card--and I love how it turned out! It's a simple sketch, but gives you room to stretch your creativity, KWIM?
So, first I did the big picture part of the layout and then I worked on the details. I sandwiched that sweet yellow gingham ribbon between the large elements and tied it in a bow. Then I cut the banner from patterned paper--one pattern is full of banners so why not take advantage of them, right? I cut three pennants out and adhered them to the tiny blue rick rack in the kit, then adhered it to the card. Then I stamped the cake and cake stand from Make a Wish, cut it out, and popped it up on foam.
Next, I stamped the sentiment, also from Make a Wish, and cut it out with a flag from Spellbinders' Nested Pennant set, added some flat backed pearls from the kit, and popped it up on foam, too. Finally, I added some of the sweet paper roses from the kit. To find out more about Taylored Expressions' Key Ingredients kits, click HERE. The kits take all the guess work out of matching patterned paper, card stock, ribbon and embellishments. Check it out!
Thanks SO much for stopping by today!
