You’re Such a Party Animal–MFT February Release Replay

Hello and welcome to MFT’s February Release Replay! Today our team is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present. We can’t wait to share our ideas with you!




I love this chance every month to use products that I might not have had time to play with during Release Countdown. For today’s card I’m using Big Birthday Die-namics along with Party Animals Stamp Set and Die-namics. I really love the size of Big Birthday—the narrow font leaves room for lots of other images or die cuts and still remain the focal point of the project.

First of all, I applied a watercolor wash on Ranger Watercolor Paper and when it was dry I cut it with Big Birthday Die-namics. Next I cut Black Licorice card stock with the die and inlaid the black into the background, stamped the sentiment, and adhered it to a card base



Next I stamped and several images from Party Animals, cut them out with the coordinating dies, and colored them with Copic markers. To finish up I popped them up on foam tape around and on the inlaid sentiment. Fun!!

Be a Flamingo–MFT Color Challenge #87

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Tropical Teal, Persimmon, Lemon Drop, and Limelight. OMG, did I have fun with this challenge! I saw a framed poster a while back that tickled me so I pinned it with nothing in mind but you never know, amirite? So, lo and behold, this color challenge came along and it’s perfect! The flamingo on the poster was watercolored but LLD Flamingos Die-namics filled the bill just fine.



I used Mini Well-Connected Alphabet & Numbers Stamp Set for the sentiment and framed it with Cement Gray card stock cut with Single Stitch Line Rounded Corner Rectangle Frames, popped up on foam tape and finished off with some Sparkling Clear sequins.

Love You Lots–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #371

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I love a good challenge and this one was just that, LOL! At first all I could see was a door with all those panels, but then started to go in a different direction and I love it. To begin, I stamped Romantic Script Background on a Sweet Tooth card stock base and built some shaker elements out of those panels. To create my shaker elements, I heat embossed Roses All Over Background on Cotton Candy card stock, and used foam tape, Heat Resistant Acetate, 6mm and 4mm Sweetheart Mix sequins, Silver Seed beads, and Power Outage Prills as my filler.



The card base is also the back of the shaker elements and I added Stitched Heart STAX to the front along with a sentiment from From the Heart Stamp Set heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics to finish off.

Celebrate You & Me–CTD #479

Hey, everyone, it’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Miss Vickie has a seasonal color combo for us based on the sweetest inspiration piece!



I used the photo for my inspiration by sponging a bunch of heart balloons. I create a stencil but cutting out Heart Balloon Die-namics and sponged on Bubblegum, Wild Cherry, and Electric Red dye inks—two reds for a little contrast—then drew in the strings with a Warm Gray Copic Multiline pen.



The stamped part of the sentiment is from From the Heart stamp set and was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Hearts in a Row – Vertical Die-namics and finished off with Celebrate Die-namics cut from Silver Sparkle card stock.

MFT February New Product Release!

What a great release, right? So many super fun products to play with :) I have a couple of cards for you tonight starting with an elegant but fun design using Magical Mandala Die-namics. I cut it three times from Black Licorice card stock and layered them, then adhered it to the Sweet Tooth card front, first stamping Distressed Patterns with Delicata Gold ink. The sentiment, from Anything-but-Basic Birthday Wishes Stamp Set, was heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder on Black Licorice card stock cut with Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics and layered on Brushed Gold card stock.



To add a bit of whimsy, I added three balloons from Party Animal, colored with gold watercolor paint and popped up on foam.

Next up, a card we hate to have to send but one that means a lot to the recipient. We love our furry children and having someone understand that means a lot.



I began by stamping a Sweet Tooth card base with Paw Prints Background, then added a Sweet Tooth panel on which I scored a pattern for some texture. I added a Stitched Heart STAX Die-namics, cut from Wild Cherry card stock into which I cut Paw Prints Die-namics, tied around some baker’s twine, and popped the panel up on foam tape.



I added a pup from Canine Companions Stamp Set and Die-namics and heat embossed a sentiment from Critter Condolences Stamp Set.
