Today we’re previewing Christmas Cardinals Stamp Set, Christmas Cardinals Die-namics, Holly Jolly Cardinals Die-namics, Personalized Tags Die-namics, and Buffalo Plaid Background Stamp.



Oh, MY!! I can’t even with these cardinals!! I love cardinals so much and am so happy to have some to work with! As a Virginian, the cardinal is our state bird and we always have them at our feeders—such gorgeous birds! I’m truly over the moon delighted with these products this month>

So, I used Holly Jolly Cardinals Die-namics and had so much fun putting them together! To begin, I created my background using the also new Micro Edge Clouds Stencil—such dainty clouds, right?? I used Berrylicious dye ink for this and then popped that panel up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. The cardinals and branches were cut out from a bunch of colors of card stock (see list below) and assembled them into super adorable birdies perched on their branches.

I wanted the cardinals to be the focal point of this card so the only other thing I did was to stamp the sentiment from Christmas Cardinals Stamp Set at the bottom with Extreme Black hybrid ink.

Countdown Kickoff--Five Days Until MFT’s September Release!!

Hey there and welcome to the first day of MFT’s September Release Countdown! Release is in five days and we have another amazing release for you!! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details. Today we’re previewing BB Present Time Stamp Set, BB Present Time Die-namics, Sending Christmas Joy Die-namics, Outside the Box Die-namics, Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics, and Outside the Box Grass Die-namics.




Peeps, you’re going to LOVE this release!! I’ve had SO much fun stamping my samples for it and I hope you love them! For today, I started by sponging Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Broken China and Black Soot Distress Inks and then I stamped Christmas Background (from last year) on top. Next I cut Sending Christmas Joy Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and used it for my shaker front with foam tape, sequins, and seed beads.

Once that was all assembled, I stamped an image from BB Present Time Stamp Set and holly sprigs from Peace, Love, and Paws (more of this another day) Stamp Set, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics and colored them with Copic markers.

To finish up I popped the colored images up on foam tape, using the snowman to essentially replace the “O” in “JOY”. This was so much fun to create and I love how it turned out!

Ghostly Greetings–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #505

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Obviously, I’m not done with Halloween, LOL! I do love these spooky-cute images from Ghostly Greeting Stamp Set and Die-namics. To begin, on a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock, I popped up some Creepy Confections Paper Pad for the bottom wonky element. Next I added another pattern from the paper pad on which I built a little scene

The scene elements include images from Ghostly Greetings, stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock and colored with Copic markers. I added the spooky tree from Haunted House Die-namics and cut Grassy Fields Die-namics from more patterned paper. Petite Clouds Die-namics and a moon cut from Grout Gray card stock with A2 Circle STAX complete the scene.

The completed scene was also popped up on foam and the wonky corner trimmed off. I finished off with a sentiment from Best Witches, stamped on Limelight card stock.

Birthday Wishes–Color Throwdown Challenge #609

Hello, all! Welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge! Vickie is our hostess this week and she has some jewel tones for us this week based on her gorgeous inspiration piece.

I went really CAS with this card. The card front was stenciled using Basic Shapes – Circle Stencil and Jellybean Green, Ripe Raspberry, and Tropical Teal Dye Inks, overlapping to create a random patter. When that was done. I adhered that panel with foam tape to the Sweet Tooth card base with a strip of Road Trippin’ Paper Pad added to one side.

Next I cut Birthday Wishes Die-namics from Gold Sparkle and twice from white scraps and adhered them together for a little dimension and adhered it to the card front and finished off with some glitter enamel dots.

3, 2, 1…Launching the Best Day Ever–MFT Hits & Highlights

 

For this month’s feature, we’re launching cards into a whole new world with Blast Off Die-namics—the sky’s the limit!





I employed a really simple design to showcase this adorable Die-namics! To begin, I cut all the pieces of Blast Off Die-namics and assembled them for this colorful rocket.

Then I created my background by spattering white craft paint on an After Midnight card stock card front. Once it dried, and after careful measuring, I cut Leaping Slider Channels Die-namics from it.

Next, the card front was adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with 2 layers of foam tape, and a Slider Element was adhered to the rocket and a piece of clear acetate and the acetate slipped into the slider channel.

After testing to made sure the rocket moved without any impingement, I added Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and also popped up on two layers of foam tape—to ensure smooth movement. The sentiment from best Friends in the Universe was stamped on another Stitched Cloud Edges die cut and also popped up on foam for the finish.
