Waving Hi–MFT Color Challenge #60

Hi, all, I'm back with this week's MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Tropical Teal, Summer Splash, Peach Bellini, and Grout Gray. I was literally inspired to create that sky by a chance glance outside my craft room window when I was getting ready to work on this card. The sun was setting and the sky was on fire with light. I tried to replicate it with my Copic markers and my airbrush system and built my scene from there.

I’m using BB Polar Bear Pals (canNOT get enough of these stinkin’ bears!) and BB Polar Bear Pals Die-namics, along with BB Icebergs Die-namics, Whimsical Waves Background, Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, and Puffy Clouds Die-namics.



The water was created by stamping the background with Versamark and heat embossing with white detail embossing powder then applying a was with Peerless Watercolors, all on Ranger Watercolor Paper. The bear was stamped in X-Press It Blending card with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers. Puffy Clouds Die-namics were cut from Grout Gray card stock and dimension was achieved with foam mounting tape.

All the Stars in the Sky–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #312

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. I decided to use the LJD Stars Above stamp set and LJD Stars Above Die-namics for this card. First I did a watercolor wash with Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor Paper, sprinkled with clean water, and then filled that sky with stars by splattering Copic Opaque White, then I popped it up on foam mounting tape on a Sweet Tooth card stock base.



Then I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped it up as well. Next I added a star from the set stamped with Black Licorice dye ink and adhered it with foam and finished off with some enamel dots and Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins.

Fancy Flowers–MFT December Card Kit

Hello there and welcome to more inspiration for Fancy Flowers Card Kit! Today I have a couple of cards that are “out of the box” so I used some products not included in the kit. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for more samples from the talented MFT Design Team.



For my first card I started with a Smooth White card stock base and added a panel of Ranger Watercolor Paper, popped up on foam mounting tape, on which I applied a watercolor wash using Peerless Watercolors. Then I stamped the largest flower image, stems, and leaves with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and cut them out with the coordinating dies.




I colored the flower with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers, popped it up on foam, added the sentiment from Words for Friends Die-namics, cut from Razzle Berry card stock and also popped up on foam, and finished off with Sparkling Clear Mix Sequins.

For my second card I decided to cover the whole card front with images and used a totally different color palette.



Again using Ranger Watercolor Paper, I stamped the images with Delicata Gold Pigment Ink and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder and watercolored the images with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush.



I cut the Free With $60 Friend Die-namics from Brushed Gold card stock and popped it up on foam mounting tape to finish up.
