For this project I have a card and a little treat jar using one of My Favorite Things' 16 oz. jars.
First the card. The focal image was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers, and matted with Tangerine Tango and Basic Black card stock. Who's That Girl's dress is paper pieced. I stitched around the image and added a black brad to each corner and popped it up on 3M foam squares. The base card is Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, and some Shimmer Glitter paper from Heidi Grace called Jeepers Creepers|Candy Corn. A black gingham ribbon from the Perfect Plaid Ribbons (this stuff ties like a DREAM!) pack is tied around, topped with an orange button and the sentiment, and more black brads finish it off.
Here's the treat jar:
And the top of the jar:
I think the jar mechanics are pretty self explanatory, but if you have a question, let me know!
Next up, I'm using the new Stephanie Fizer set, I {Heart} Books. For this project, I made a card and a bookmark.
The images were stamped on Perfect Paper Panels with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, then cut/embossed with Nestabilities dies and matted. I think you can figure out the rest of the card. For the book mark, I took a paper holder (you know, the kind you get at the office supply store that's on a little circular base and is normally upside down from what you see here?) and had my DH cut the stand part off. I was left with a large paper clip--perfect for a bookmark! I made two discs to match the one on the card, one with another colored image and one with a large button tied on, and attached them to what used to be the bottom of the paper holder with Crystal effects. I love how it turned out! This one is for a gift, but I'm going to be making another one for myself!
That's it for me. Now, hop on over to the fabulous Natalie's blog--she's sure to knock your socks off! And don't forget--there's blog candy somewhere waiting to be won :)
