Be Thankful For the Little Things--Crazy 4 Challenges #6

Our Canadian friends celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend. I wish our Thanksgiving in the US was earlier than it is--it sometimes seems to get pushed to the background by all the Christmas preparations and doesn't get the attention it deserves. Our challenge today is to make a project with a thankful theme. It doesn't have to be a Thanksgiving card, it can be simply a Thank You card.

I chose to use an image from JustRite's Autumn Blessings set after being *so* inspired by this gorgeous card by Debbie Olson. I tried to color like Debbie and I don't think I made it but I'm happy with it nonetheless. I stamped the image and border on a MFT Cream Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I cut/embossed it with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die and sponged the edges with a PTI Vintage Touch tea dye ink pad. For the base card I used paper from PTI's First Fruits and Bitty Box Basics collections. Card stock is Very Vanilla (SU!) and Ripe Avocado (PTI). I'm loosely following this week's SCS Sketch Challenge 249 layout but flipped it on it's side, so I used my ribbon for one element and tied on a Vintage collection button from PTI with twine, also from PTI.

NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of the Crazy4Challenges team!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the sketch and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy4Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project, and not your blog. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C6.

Thanks for stopping by today!!
