Blinged up Poppies--WCMD

Happy Sunday! Did you have fun crafting for WCMD? Lots going on and lots of prizes. There's still time to get in on the challenge hosted by My Favorite Things, which can be found here.

The challenge is to use MFT colors, black, pink, and white with the twist of BLING! I'm also using this project for MFTMFC this week--to use digi paper--all papers for this project are from the Simply Spring Collection.

I just love this set of little rocker girls called The Poppies. I decided to alter a tin "hat box" in which to keep CDs--it'll be perfect to keep beside my desk at work--a stack of them fit perfectly inside. Handy, useful, and CUTE! It doesn't get any better than that, does it? I stamped the image on Gina K Pure Luxury base weight card stock (it was too large to fit on MFT Perfect Paper Panels) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. The blinged up "P" on the drum stands for The Poppies, you know ;-) I added more bling to the music notes and glimmered up the guitars and drums with a Sakura glitter pen. The girls' dresses were paper pieced with digi paper, as well. I added more bling around the catch and the handle to cover up my less-than-perfect cutting ;-) and ran black and white saddle stitched ribbon around the rims and across the sides to sorta look like a drum? I'm hoping? Lastly, I tied some pink and black ribbons around the handle for good measure. I love how this turned out--hope you do too!

Thanks for dropping by today! Be sure to stop by tomorrow--I'll have a sneak peek of MFT's October release. This is a huge release and it's AWESOME!!! You will *not* want to miss any of it! Trust me. Really.
