It's Color Throwdown day!!! Today, Tammy has given us quite the color palette to work with: Melon Mambo, Marigold Morning, Wild Wasabi, and Bermuda Bay. We also have a sponsor today: Kitchen Sink Stamps! Get all the deets at the Throwdown blog.I love this big ol' sentiment image that I'm using today. It's from a Kitchen Sink set called Thanks With Style.
When I read this color combination I immediately thought of this Urban Prairie paper by Basic Grey. The green is not *quite* Wild Wasabi but it's close enough ;-). And, I don't have Marigold Morning so I'm using Summer Sun. PTI Summer Sunrise would be perfect, too. The layout is obvious, so I won't bore you with those details, but I stamped the image on One Sheet Wonder card stock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Some corner punching, some flat backed pearls, and a bow later and I was done! Really simple, with minimal stamping, no coloring and I love it. Win-win, I'd say :)
Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD83 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! And be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
