It's Stamp Simply time!!! We've got a great challenge for you today. My awesome friend and team mate, Tammy, came up with this one:
Stamp Simply #129 - Punched Borders - My most favorite tool to use lately is my Apron Lace border punch. And there just seem to be more and more border punches available all the time from many different companies. So the challenge is to use your border punches, or create the semblance of a punched border. You can use Nestabilities to make what resembles a punched border or even use a corner rounder punch to create a scalloped border.
I'm using a new Pure Innocence image My Favorite Things called Sunshiney Day for my card. I stamped it on a piece of One Sheet Wonder with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. Usually I just layer my image on a mat but this time I actually "framed" it. I used my new SU! border punch (I love it!) inside and out, and attached the sentiment with a tiny paper clip. I also punched out my "sun" using a star burst punch and a 1/2" circle punch. I'm using Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #63 for my layout.
So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime129 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love!
Sadly, due to a very hectic schedule, Julie Koerber had to stop down from the Stamp Simply team. We will miss Julie somethin' awful, but luckily for the team, last month's guest designer, Deb Neerman (doin' the happy dance, Deb!), was able to step up and take her place. And, since it's a new month, we have a new guest designer to introduce: Marlene Bender of Heart Spring is joining us this month (welcome, Marlene!!)!
