MFT October Blog Hop and Shop!!

It's here! What we've been waiting for! MFT's October Hop and Shop! If you got here from Sherrie's blog then you're right on track. If not, double back to Kim's blog and the beginning--I'm tellin' you, you won't want to miss a thing!

I have the very distinct honor of showing you the first set in a new line for MFT--Inspired By. This line is a departure in style for MFT--it's vintage and elegant and totally classy. This first set is called Inspired By...Caged Bird and is inspired by the Maya Angelou poem, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. As soon as I laid eyes on this new set I fell in love with it and I know you will, too.

I decided to create a mini album using this Maya Road chipboard album that obviously was made for this set, don't you think? I have lots of pictures and won't bore you with lots of words, but I do want to point out a few things along the way.

Here's the finished album.

**********

The front, using the new Rolled Rose Die-namics die, along with the Sheltering Tree Leaf Trio, the Perfect Bracket Edge, and the Framed Greetings die. I used three stamps from the set: the sentiment, the bird silhouette, and the diamond background that I used on the chipboard bird. Other MFT products used here are Sno Cone card stock, Perfect Paper Panels, and the Summer Collection of Glittered Garnishes.

**********

This page uses the new Button Quartet, Clouds, and Perfect Petal Trio Die-namics dies and Black Licorice and Fossil card stock. The bird in flight is from the new set.

**********

This page uses the new Polka Dot Greetings Die-namics die, along with the Banner Day die. The sentiment is from the new set and the banner letters are from Wendy Alphabet.

**********

On this page I used another sentiment and stamped the bird silhouette in blue, cut it out, and popped it up on a branch.

**********

The bird cage on this page is from the set, and I stamped one of the sentiments on the little chipboard bird.

**********

Another sentiment from the set, along with the Button Quartet Die-namics die and Polka Dot Greetings dies.

**********

And last, this bird is from the set, stamped on Fossil card stock and colored with Copic markers. I love it. I also used the Button Quartet Die-namics die again.

**********

I really love how this project turned out. My brother is a photographer and a birder--this may end up being his Christmas present. I think it would be a great coffee table piece, don't you?

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Now, you MUST head on over to the amazing Christina's blog to see what goodness she has for you. I happen to know you won't be disappointed :) And go shop!!
