Hi, everyone! This month MFT is introducing a new event, Release Rewind, that will follow each month’s release. This gives the designers a great opportunity to use some products we might not have gotten around to using during the release. This almost always happens for me so I’m really excited about this chance to be creative with the amazing new MFT products that are available right HERE, right NOW in the MFT Boutique. To get all the details, be sure to stop by the MFT Blog.
For my first card, I used LLD Document It – Expand Your View and the coordinating die, Die-namics LLD Accent It – Reel Life. My goodness but this thing brings back the memories! And I thought this would make an awesome masculine anniversary card.
After I constructed my card base, using Kraft card stock, the new (and awesome!) Factory Green card stock, and patterned paper, I cut a reel from Whip Cream card stock, filled the holes with Steel Gray card stock, and layered it up on some Tangy Orange card stock cut out with my Die-namics Circle STAX. I added a border with the new (also VERY awesome!) Die-namics Open Simply Scallops Trio, and added the sentiment, stamped with the new Factory Green ink, on a Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag stack. I did some stitching, some sponging, and accented with a Tangy Orange button, a Factory Green button, and a Sno Cone button, all tied with hemp cord.
Here’s a close up of the reel detail:
And one of the sentiment strip:
For the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Anniversaries with Factory Green ink. Sweet.
For my second card, I used this little PI – Little Gardener. I love to garden so this little cutie really speaks to me!
After I built my card base from Kraft card stock, Wild Cherry card stock, and patterned paper, I stamped the image on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. I added some grass to ground her by laying down some base color with Copic markers then drawing in the grass with Prismacolor pencils. I popped her up on foam, then added a couple of flowers using my Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio set. I hadn’t used these dies in a while but it occurred to me they looked a bit like zinnias so out they came! They have Whip Cream button centers, tied with hemp cord. The sentiment was stamped on subtly patterned paper, cut into two pieces, and popped up on foam. This is a great way to mount your sentiment if there’s no room design-wise to keep it all together.
Here’s a close up of this little sweetheart:
One of the flowers (I’d forgotten how CUTE they are!):
And the divided sentiment:
And how about this sentiment that I stamped on the inside? Just fabulous, right?
And that’s pretty much that! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
