Hi, everyone! Today is Day Two of MFT’s April Teasers. As I mentioned yesterday, we have a new Teaser Time format in place, and to get all the details and see the Design Team members that are linked today, be sure to go to the MFT Blog.
I just love this new set by Laina Lamb—LLD Border It – Mod Borders. I think you’ll be seeing me use this a lot in the future. For this card, I wanted to create a rainbow effect. To do this, I used a piece of plastic tape, cut the shape of the chevron, as a “mask” as I stamped each chevron, moving the tape as I worked along the stamp. I worked pretty quickly to keep my ink from drying out, then “huffed” just before I stamped. Then I cut it out with a Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX die, popped it up on foam, and added a strip of clear jewels. Before I adhered the rainbow chevron strip, I stamped the sentiment, from DC Say What Sentiments with Black Licorice ink.
My card base is made from Sweet Tooth card stock and I used these colors of MFT ink: Wild Cherry ink, Orange Fizz ink (new color releasing on April 9), Lemon Drop ink, Sour Apple ink, Blu Raspberry ink, Grape Jelly ink, Pink Lemonade ink.
Here’s the inside with a sentiment from Big Greetings:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope to see you back tomorrow—I’ll be using this set again :)
