The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, Make it Masculine!  Look forward to an assortment of creations for the men in your life from today's participating designers.  Be sure to check out the

Both of my cards today have a theme of encouragement and would be great for a young man heading off to college soon or any guy starting a new job or adventure. For my first one, I started off with a Sno Cone card stock base and added a Die-namics Skyline Border die cut, using Steel Gray card stock and backed with a Die-namics Solid Skyline using Black Licorice card stock. Then I stamped the sentiment, from Inspired by Up, Up and Away in Black Licorice ink and added a few Die-namics Cloud Trio clouds cut from Sweet Tooth card stock. I finished up with a Wild Cherry card stock airplane using Die-namics You Move Me Die & Stamp Set, and some red and white baker’s twine to tie it all together. No pun intended :)

For the inside, I used another sentiment from Inspired by Up, Up and Away.

For my second card, I went in a different direction, design-wise. My card base was made from Kraft card stock with a Berrylicious card stock panel bordered with Black Licorice card stock. I stamped the sentiment, from LLD Document It – Right On Target, wrapped around some baker’s twine, and tied on a Black Licorice button.

Next I cut out some Die-namics LLD Accent It – Feathers and Arrows from Primitive White card stock and stamped text from LJD Art Expression Text with Kraft ink, stamped off once. I inked up the edges and adhered them to the card base—the smaller one on foam tape. Here’s a close up of the feathers:
